Launched in 2010, the Sustenance for Families programme aims to ease some of the financial burdens faced by low-income families who are struggling to make ends meet by providing dry rations.
Families under the standard weekend distribution programme will receive basic and daily necessities such as rice, cooking oil and canned food every month.
For the weekday distribution programme, families will receive customised dry ration packages which are packed according to their needs.
The YWCA partners with external agencies such as Family Service Centres and other welfare organisations to identify these needy families.
