Launched in 2010, the Sustenance for Families programme aims to ease financial burdens faced by families from marginalised backgrounds by providing either dry or fresh rations once a month.
Families on the dry rations programme receive a bundle of essential items such as rice, cooking oil, canned food, diapers and milk powder, depending on their needs.
Families on the fresh rations programme will receive items such as eggs and vegetables to promote healthier meals.
This programme plays a crucial role in helping families access much-needed sustenance to meet their basic needs. We partner with external agencies such as Family Service Centres and welfare organisations to identify these marginalised families and help meet their basic needs.
This programme is available islandwide.
