The weaving workshops offer a quiet space for you to pick up this unique craft which features freestyle hand-weaving on a SAORI floor loom that provides a way for you to create your own style, free from the traditional concept and rules of weaving. This allows for irregularities and variations of weaving by hand to add a special quality to each piece that is created.
You are welcome to experiment freely in this therapeutic craft with different kinds of yarns, textures, colours, and designs, regardless of age, gender, disability or intellectual aptitude.
At the end of the workshop, you can bring your very own woven piece home.
Sure! We require the kids to be at least 120cm tall to be able to reach the pedals on the weaving loom. For children under 12, we recommend that parents share the loom with their kids (1 adult and 1 child per loom). Parents to be present at all times during the workshop.
Our weaving workshops are suitable for corporate team bonding. We can accommodate 12 participants at a time. We are also able to host private sessions and at alternative venues upon request. Please email ywcaent@ywca.org.sg to enquire.
We may run promotions from time to time. Follow us on follow our Instagram and Facebook, or subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated on our latest promotions!
If you are unable to attend your scheduled workshop, a one-time postponement would be allowed. Participants must inform YWCA Weaving Studio at least 24hrs before their schedule workshop about any postponement. Failure to do so would deem the session as consumed without refunds.
The postponed class should occur within 1 month of the original booking date. We do not entertain cancellations.
For requests to postpone workshops, please email to ywcaent@ywca.org.sg directly.
