Meals-on-Wheels for Elderly Delivery & Outings

IMG_5743 The Meals-on-Wheels for Elderly programme is a free lunch delivery service for over 330 needy, frail and/or homebound elderly living in the Outram vicinity and along the west-bound MRT line up to Clementi. Lunches are catered to the YWCA’s Outram Centre and delivered to the elderly at their homes or senior activity centres from Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays.

Since 2013, we have also begun organising outings every alternate month and invite volunteers to befriend the elderly and photograph the event. For volunteers who would like to take up the challenge, we welcome them to organise an activity for Grandparents’ Day.
