Meals-on-Wheels for Elderly/Disabled

The YWCA Meals-on-Wheels for Elderly (MOWE) is a meals programme running since August 1997 for senior citizens aged 60 and above who are needy, frail and/or homebound. Free nutritious halal lunches are delivered from 9.30am to 12.30pm to their homes or our partnering agencies daily from Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays. The Meals-on-Wheels for Disabled (MOWD) programme extends the same service to the physically and mentally disabled aged between 13 and 59.

Presently serving over 400 elderly and about 40 disabled, this programme serves the boundaries of the Outram vicinity in areas along the west-bound MRT line such as Chinatown, Tiong Bahru, Redhill, Queenstown, and Commonwealth.
